Talk to engineering.
1 Matrix Systems Innovations Ltd, Cardiff CF10, United Kingdom
Abstract
An engineering call is a 45-minute working session with a WebMatrix engineer, held against your origin, your traces, your policy file. There is no SDR layer, no qualification call before the technical conversation. The output is a written technical note the same day, which you keep whether or not the engagement continues. The first reply rarely takes more than a working day, and it is written by the engineer the question would land on.
Open a call.
A short form is sufficient. We do not need a full briefing in advance; the call is the briefing. We need enough to point the call at the right engineer.
What happens after the form.
| Step | What we do | You receive | By |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | An engineer reads the form on the desk | Acknowledgement · named engineer · queue position | End of next working day |
| 2 | Preparation — your system against the platform | Proposed call window · what we plan to show | Within 3 working days |
| 3 | The call — 45 minutes, live | Working session with the engineer | Day 4 of engagement |
| 4 | Written technical note | 4 – 9 pages · citations intact · same day | End of day of call |
| 5 | If you wish to continue | Methodology review · integration scope | Working week 2 |
Table 1 The sequence from form submission to written note. No SDR step. No qualification call. The first conversation that touches your system is the technical one.
If the engineering desk cannot help, the engineering desk says so.
There are engineering calls we decline. If the request sits outside what WebMatrix is — if it asks us to do work an existing partner vendor would do better, or to take a position on a problem that is not infrastructure — we will say so on the first reply and, where useful, refer you to the firm that would be the better fit. We have done both more often than the marketing copy of this industry would suggest is normal.
If you are not certain WebMatrix is the right call, write anyway. The first reply, including the honest "we are not the right firm here, try X" reply, costs the same.
